Words of Welcome
Welcome! We have gathered here together as family and friends to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to add our best wishes to the words that shall unite Jane and Joe in marriage.
Prayer
Let us join our hearts in the spirit of prayer…
Heavenly Creator, At this miraculous moment, may the light of love burst forth in our hearts. We ask for Your blessings upon this couple so that they may speak with love, act with love, hear with love, and live with love…now and forevermore. Amen
Convocation
Each of us knows that a marriage is not created by a law or ceremony;
rather it occurs in the hearts of two human beings. It grows out of loving, caring, and sharing ourselves with another. And so it is that Jane and Joe have connected their hearts and souls, one to the other, drawing upon the depths of their being, into the deep well of human desire…the desire to live united, loving, and complete. In witnessing this ceremony today, we are observing only an outward sign of an inward union that already exists between this couple.
Marriage Address
Joe and Jane, demonstrate your love for yourselves and each other through the caring and sharing of your daily lives. Stretch your love large enough to embrace whatever life brings you. Let this love fill you, surround you, comfort and protect you. Let your arms be a safe haven, a refuge for each of you to come home to every day. Be generous in expressing your love, remembering not only to say those “ three little words”, but also to feel the love within them. Be flexible and forgiving with each other.
I ask you to place your relationship at the center of your lives and dedicate yourselves to it. Nourish it with tender loving care, and above all else, keep your love alive. Treat it as the precious blessing that it is. Do not just be married, or in love, but let your marriage be an active process of loving one another………
Declaration of Intent
Joe and Jane, do you share these understandings about your marital promises?
If so, please say…we do. Then with this understanding, please join hands…and with your hands…your hearts.
Wedding Vows
Jane, do you choose Joe as your husband? Do you pledge to share your life with him openly, to tell the truth to him in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for him, to cherish and encourage his own fulfillment as an individual, and to love and respect him through all the changes of your lives? If so, please say I do.

The rings…
The wedding ring is a symbol of unbroken unity. It portrays completeness and eternity. May the imperishable substance of these rings reflect a love shining with increasing radiance throughout your years together.
