Words of Welcome
Welcome! What a joy it is to come together this day to celebrate the love of Joe and Jane, and to witness this ceremony as they share their promises to each other and to their marriage. They are grateful you could be here with them on this very special day.
Prayer
Let us begin by acknowledging the presence of God and the love that draws us all together with a time of prayer.
Dear God,
In stillness and in trust we recognize Your presence. We know Your love drew Joe and Jane together so that they could live the adventure of life as one.
We also know that Your love drew each of us together so that we might add our love and blessings to this marriage. We affirm that You are with us now as always ...guiding us, upholding us and blessing us with abundance of faith, love and joy. Amen
Marriage Address
It is Divine love that has brought these two souls together. They are entering into this commitment fully aware of the purpose of marriage. May we each take this occasion to remember that there are no categories of love. Unconditional love is the love that lies at the heart of every lasting relationship. This love does not change with form nor circumstance. The relationship we see before us creates the stage where this kind of love can be expressed.
And to you Joe and Jane, you are reminded that the purpose of marriage is to grow with each other in love. To offer gentleness, to forgive, to nurture, and to support and encourage each other.
The commitment of sharing love with each other is an invitation to knowing you are a friend to each other. Friends share their secret hopes, their dreams and aspirations. Friends encourage each other to explore and enjoy life. Forever remember to love, laugh, and enjoy each other not only as husband and wife…but also as friends.
Declaration of Intent
Joe and Jane, do you enter into this marriage with unconditional love in your hearts? If so, please say…we do. Then with this understanding, please face each other and join hands…and with your hands…your hearts.
Wedding Vows
Jane, do you take Joe to be your husband promising him your friendship and loving care for all the days of your lives? If so, please say…I do. Then please repeat after me.

wherever it leads whatever the outcome
through all the days of our lives.
