Ceremony #1

Welcome

We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to
give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to add our best
wishes to the words which shall re-unite __________ and _________ in
marriage.

Prayer (Optional)

Let us begin by acknowledging the presence of God and the love that
draws us all together with a time of prayer.

Dear God,
In stillness and in trust we recognize Your presence.  We know Your love
drew ________ and _______together so that they could live the adventure
of life as one.  We also know that Your love drew each of us together so
that we might add our love and blessings to this marriage.  We affirm that
You are with us now as always...guiding us, upholding us and blessing us
with abundance of faith, love and joy. Amen

Thoughts on Marriage

The key to love is understanding ...as it is the little things that say so much
by themselves.  The key to love is forgiveness ....to accept each others
faults and pardon mistakes.  The key to love is sharing...your good fortunes
as well as the bad, together; both conquering problems, forever searching
for ways to intensify your happiness. The key to love is giving...without
thought of return, but with the hope of just a simple smile, and by giving in
but never giving up.  The key to love is respect..realizing that you are two
separate people, with different ideas...that you don't belong to each other,
that you belong with each other and that you share a mutual bond.  The
key to love is inside us all ...It has taken time and patience to unlock all the
ingredients that have made your marriage one of love...and it is a continual
learning process that demands a lot of work...but as you stand before
us...you have shown all of us that  the rewards are more than worth the
effort ...and that is the key to love.

The Vows

To love and cherish her, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for
